The client is a diversified financial services firm that provides tailored, sophisticated solutions for individuals and institutions. With their history of unique financial offerings, they wanted us to service their processing and data destruction needs, but without ever sending them an invoice.
With their high turnover of professional equipment, we appreciated how we could recover value from their used IT assets and therefore offset the need to bill them.
We picked up, processed and destroyed data from their IT assets in their many offices around the United States.
As a company, they have many IT assets which are in a constant state of upgrade/replacement. In order to minimize their expenditure on data destruction – which is a crucial part of their IT lifecycle – we came up with a solution which allowed us to recover value from their old IT equipment, which offset the need to bill them for the data destruction service.
At any of their locations throughout the United States, we deployed our personnel to destroy data from any number of IT assets, from laptops to printers, from PCs to tablets. Once the data is destroyed and the asset is ear-marked for destruction, with our knowledge of the ‘as-new’ global parts market, we recover value from the IT assets which offset our costs and the client was not invoiced.
As data destruction is a very important part of their business, they were keen to offset it with this innovative approach. By having one cost less to worry about, their overall IT spend was significantly reduced while we could offer them our efficient and trustworthy service.
